I haven't bought or made any offer for this coin. It's certainly an odd one. Curious of what you all make of it, and the sellers description. Is that redness natural?
Gashes on the face, obvious circulation wear, and some ashy markings would make it eac grade... vf35?
I'll go with 45 or 50 on the sharpness but the facial marks and the corrosion absolutely kill it. It's been cleaned so don't lend any credence to the % of red remark by the seller. Like I said on that coin you posted the other day, marks on the face, or in front of the face are in the "focal area". Meaning that's what your eye is immediately drawn to. The corrosion on this coin is beyond ugly. An EAC net grade of 35 is generous. I'd knock it 1 grade if it had one spot that black let alone the reverse corrosion. Stay away Scott, far away.
