It was an S according to everyone here.

I check out my coins pretty well before they go to junk and then on to ebay

LOL....I got home today, and yes, it was an S. I'm glad to know I bought it from someone that posts here. Added to my silver stack with ebay bucks....no complaints! Everything in the lot looked pretty good. Cheers!

Now with a little engraving tool, you could change it to a D. Better yet change it to an O. Imagine having the only 1916O Merc.
