Looks like Zorro had his way with one of them, but I'm still happy to own my first Flowing Hair Large Cent, and also this 1806. Price seemed right.

Good purchase there!

Although I have to say, for low grade early copper, there is such a variation in details grades! At this point, identifiability and eye appeal, rather than technical merit, is necessary. You gotta have a certain level of scrutiny to find the treasures.

the zorro coin looks like a liberty cap cent 1795? the description below was incorrect calling it 1793.

Yeah, I know it's a 1795, could see the 5 on the date when I bid, and it was described as so in the headline. Wouldn't that have been something if it was a 1793.

yes it would have. only reason I commented on it was you said you got a flowing hair cent which I think is a 1793 only.

I think you're right, but I was going by what PCGS calls them in their price guide, and they call anything from 1793 to 1796 a Flowing Hair, and breaks them up into 3 different categories, Chain, Wreath, and Liberty Cap. So It makes for an interesting discussion. But yeah, it's a Liberty Cap.
