I thought RCM products were on sale everyday. I see most at 40%-60% off any day of the week. Just wait a year and it can be found. |

Its a good deal for those who were holding off on buying a coin until a discount comes along. Or was going to buy it anyways.
In my case, I was going to buy the 1 oz lotus year of the monkey coin sooner or later. So I bought it today along with another coin and I got the free parrot coin that sells for $139. And bezel too.
So how often do you buy $200 worth of stuff and get $139 in value back?
It is a better deal than buying $200 worth of coins and getting a $19.99 gift set.

I just placed my order for $225 and got $145 worth of free goods. Too bad I ordered the $225 silver proof set a week ago through my rep. The xmas set is a poor incentive compared with today. I don't know how the mint will make money today! The 3 coins I ordered I was waiting for discounts, and free shipping is the icing on the cake.
now hopefully CP will have the Poppy dollar on sale. Then my silver dollar collection will be complete.

I got the same 'parrot' coin for free, like Money Penny. My order however was the 'geometric loonie' and a hand full of the $30 'toybox' coins for the kids stockings.
Total value of coins coming, $359.70 but paid $219.75, not a bad savings for something I would have purchased anyway... AS for the parrot... I had thought about ordering it a while back - love the look of it, but since it wasn't Canadian Mint I didn't... Now it was free. Can't beat that!

RCM marketing technique worked. Guys, you've waited for FBS to get RCM coins for issue? I understand, that you bought coins that wanted (doubtful that you were buying them at the end), but you saved Zero. Did you planned to buy that parrot or others coin, which haven't been sold nowhere, hence RCM got them? So you got for free the coin, that need to be sold ..that's all.

Since technically, this was an on-line deal for Black Friday (which was originally an in-store thing), I wonder if they will do something even better for "Cyber" Monday. lol Really this BFS stuff is getting ridiculous. Apparently, it's Friday for ten straight days in Kitchener; Colonial Acres BFS ends Dec 8th.  |

Congratulations to those who took advantage of the RCM Black Friday sale, especially to those of us who managed to get the "unwanted" or should I say "much desired" 3D Parrot coin, which quickly sold out.  |
