Ali- No tips. I'm planning to get a 250 soon and was wondering what your initial thoughts are. Also, there is an optional, larger coil, and I was also wondering if that is a worthwhile upgrade (it's like $60 USD). According to the promotional info it increases the accuracy and depth by up to 30%. At any rate, please let me know what your thoughts are. I'm also a beginner at detecting. Jack

I've used an ACE-250 for four years now. It's a good machine for basic coin hunting. I have found coins as far down as eight inches.

I like the bell tones it uses to identify targets. I listen for the tones more than looking at the display.

I usually hunt in the coin mode and really haven't tried the relics or jewelry setting.

I'm happy with mine. Good luck to you! Don't forget to share your finds, especially if you're in Lebanon.

I dont have an ACE-250, but I have heard it is a quality machine. I currently have a Bounty Hunter IV, so I'm not quite sure I know what "quality" is, though (lol, its actually a really nice beginners model and I love the Bounty Hunter).
Rest in Peace

Thanks, I like my new avatar too, but I kinda miss my old one... By the way, the in my avatar is actually a proof strike! Anyways, kind of cool that you still need that date (I guess, now that I say that it doesn't really sound that cool)

You folks bring up an interesting element - danger - has anyone been injured during a search, barring the obvious such as falling into holes, poison ivy, unhappy snakes & dogs, etc?
