Here, husband lost some of his early collection under similar circumstances, but I encouraged him to get back to it when he could. We joined forces, which led to some silliness through the years, collecting randomly here and there, mostly US coins. Now we have to sort it all out and figure out what we did. Our granddaughter lives in Guntersville, just the other side of Albertville from you. Everywhere else I have lived, mostly large cities, there were a plethora of coin shops/dealers. Coin collecting seems to not be a very popular hobby here in Alabama. The closest legitimate coin shops (rather than pawn shops and bullion dealers) is in Birmingham, 95 miles away from me. I'm starting to put together a decent collection ... small right now, but growing. I have 23 coins at the moment, mostly medium to high grade. Looking forward to more buys/trades!
