I've been looking to sell some more coins lately so I wanted some expert opinions on grades again (if you don't mind). I have about 11 Peace dollars left. I've only taken a pic of one so far, but I'll update as I have more free time. The detail on this one really caught my eye -- however, I'm a rookie, so that's not saying much hah. Not quite sure the best way to photograph my coins as I don't have great lighting. When I use the flash on my phone, the above pic is the result. But maybe not =/ If you are going to show it/sell it online the viewers won't see it "in hand". They'll see your picture -- and it's not good. Plus I doubt they'll take your word for it ("It really doesn't look polished in person ....") Start thinking about upgrading your imaging capability. Report this Post to the Staff

One of the few good things about digital photography is you do not burn expensive film trying to get it right. So take some pics of the background only, adjusting the light until you get the pic matching the color and texture. Then add the coin and adjust until that looks right. Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe you can buy them raw from your primary coin dealer. There are only about three or four Peace dollars that are scarce.
