1965 Pressed Quarter Error? - Coin Community Forum

Kyrebelyell2004 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/25/2008 4:03 pm I was looking through some of my old coins that I collect and came across this quarter.. I have know clue what kind of error it is, maybe the print was to big, or just a simple machine malfunction when it was processed.. Note: The 1965 quarter's edge that I have is bigger than normal and kinda looks pushed in, the print of this coin is also to big for it's size.. A guy was going to give me 5 dollars for it but I thought he might just be trying to rip me off, theres alot of crooks out there, Do you think it could be worth more than 5 dollars? I need your opinion :( , I will be greatly appreciative if you can tell me what you think, just a guess, please, you can see the coin here.. I think it will take a thousand years before people will forget about the idea that any clad coins are spooned. They did it with silver coins because silver was fairly workable. A Copper-nickel clad coin is never used. Again, there should be a numismatic rule:-) If it's copper-nickel clad and you think it's spooned, It isn't. This one is definitely one that has spent some time in a commercial dryer, stuck inside the fins. Thanks, Bill Report this Post to the Staff
