1996 is an extremely common date, over 13 billion of them were minted between Denver and Philadephia.

1996 pennies are pretty common. They're not anything special
in particular as far as age or date, excluding the possibility of mint errors.

We don't use the Lincoln Memorial as the reverse image anymore, but it's not obsolete. A lot of the pennies we use still have it.

Generally speaking, it's worth face value.

Welcome to CC!

None of the memorial cents is considered "rare" as billions were made. However, in very high grades they are considered "conditionally rare", i.e. MS-68. PCGS is an interesting website, spend some time looking around as there are a lot of images and info that can help you.

The one alleged example of a 1996 Wide AM was never actually proven to exist so it is not even worth mentioning.

One nice and/or interesting thing is your in the UK. So sort of makes you wonder who brought that coin there and why.

It nice to see collectors from other countries are finding our coins.
And think they are interesting.
