I don't believe they have made a deliberate overdate since the mid 19th century. After about 1996 the working dies were single squeeze but I don't know if working hubs were or not. But if you overdated a working hub there would be a LOT of overdated working dies and a huge number of overdated coins. I'm sure it would have been noticed immediately.
