tdziemia Pillar of the Community United States 7981 Posts	Posted 10/31/2018 2:07 pm Most likely not a coin as it bears no date or denomination. So, a token, medal or fantasy piece. It looks odd in that it combines an obverse design used on French Republic coins after 1930 with a symbol of the monarchy reverse that was not seen on French coins after 1830. Second, while I agree that this isn't a coin, I wonder if you could take a picture of the edge at 12 o'clock of the front. There might be signs of a loop that has been removed. carivaggio New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 10/31/2018 2:51 pm It does have a mark at 12 o'clock on the edge I cant get a real good picture of it. It came in a bag of foreign coins that I got from a friend that has traveled all over Europe. She says everything in the bags was change she got back from purchases she made. If it wasn't for that I would say it came from a piece of bad costume jewelry. It is metal and does look to be plated. Report this Post to the Staff

I was hoping for something interesting but I think it is a cheap piece removed from costume jewelry and passed off onto an unsuspecting tourist. Report this Post to the Staff
