Hey everyone! This is my first post.

The reason I'm posting is because I found this unusual dime. I've never really seen one like it and would like to get some more info on it. At first I thought it was run over by a train or something but after closer inspection I don't think it was. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you!

To CCF! Just a heavily damaged Dime with Post Strike Damage ( PSD) unfortunately. This Dime has had a very rough life. It's only worth face value at this point.

Your first impression is basically correct. Trust your instincts! That dime shows heavy post-Mint damage from who knows what.

When it gets back to the bank, they will send damaged coins to the mint to be canceled and recycled.
