Found this last weekend in my girlfriend's coin jar. On the obverse, is that short diagonal gouge sitting out there all by itself between the I of In and the E in LIBERTY a die marker? I looked at a lot of ugly pennies in search of this DDO. Wexler describes this die marker, but doesn't have a picture.
Adding more pictures. The first two pics are from Wexler's site. The rest are all mine. I thought the die gouge highlighted by the red arrow in the 5th pic might be the die marker described by Wexler as "a short, diagonal die gouge... well north the E in Liberty".
You see on Wexlers photo the right side of the 8 and 4 is not the same as the 8 on your coin. Yours is not a DDO. You need to find the doubled die first, then match die markers. Just a note:your photos are still too bright, the glare is a problem and it is a bit out of focus.Try filtering your light source. John1
