An-Ike-First-Day-Cover-For-The-Coin-And-Stamp-And-Error-Collectors

Grenadines of St Vincent commemorating our 200 years of American independence.
What is interesting is this cover have tied it with and mis-perf 8 cents Eisenhower stamp, and the inscription of "A Flat Design - Single Strike Coin". It looks more of a weak strike, or just a fatigue die on the reverse, obverse looks normal.
On the reverse has a handstamp of Personalized First day covers, and another handstamp that appeared to be Jim Heine.
Anyone have information with Error Coin of the Month?

I collect Bicentennial coinage and medals, have all of the Official Commission first day covers as well as the Postal Service issues, but have not seen these before. Thanks for sharing! One more to look for.

I was wondering which company or individual created these covers?

I believe the cover was an "aftermarket" piece with the inscriptions printed in red ink being applied to the original Grenadines cover; the coin and back side stamps were also added outside of the Grenadines.

Here's a link that should get you a little further down the path...

Thanks commems,

I got this one also from Fred Weinberg, so he could have accumulated it back in the 70's, as I don't see these offering much today, likely most are in private collections.

Very interesting. That does appear to be true after I gave it another look.
