GeSeas New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 07/21/2021 5:17 pm Hello everyone, I am seeking more information on the radial die break (that I am seeing), at the second from the top 'Maple Leaf' closest to the rim on the 'Left Maple Branch' on reverse. It may be a common die error; or not. There seems to be a ghost shadow in that area of some of the other photographs I have seen of the 1917 Canada dime. Even if it were common; it would be fun to see the progression of that crack; (if any.) Maybe someone has looked into this... okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5612 Posts	Posted 07/21/2021 8:52 pm A die crack is not a variety, it is an error, and a minor one, because D/C's are so common. On some coins, a D/C will decrease the value. Report this Post to the Staff

I enjoy looking at coin irregularities and trying to determine if the damage was on the die itself, or was it PMD. Collectors will collect...almost anything I think. Report this Post to the Staff
