The Charleton catalog should update its values as they are too low for fancy numbers.

I'd say six times BV is definitely overboard (8's or any other #) but I have been trying to get the pricing panel to adjust their BV's for 1954 DF/modified solids, low #, ladders (& the like) for 4 years now. 1954 & earlier special # notes have been on fire for the past couple years (& were on the rise before the pandemic). [If I ever get a response its always the same: they'd rather see the trend for more than 1 year before publishing a new price]
I would be willing to bet that the winner is not Canadian (& the bidding war probably came from abroad). I tried to buy some 1935-1954 target notes in UNC back in 2014 & discovered that 80-90% of the sellers were US based asking Charlton or more in USD. Charlton is listed in CDN but everybody seemed to be impervious to that. This was like paying %30-%40 more than BV at the time & I just stopped looking since there was only BIN priced too high (IMO).
