I'm sorry still haven't post in my previous thread.

I have to post this because the interesting Lincoln Steel 1943-D.

The interesting mark on Lincoln forehead and slight mark look like E under E from LIBERTY.

And on mintmark

I have the same issues, hope your mother is ok. I was thinking maybe a soak in 100% pure acetone, not standard nail polish remover might help a bit. It kind of looks like a substance is on the coin?

looks like a chip on the bridge of the nose and the L in liberty (the E looks normal to me - as does the date)
Is this coin still in a 2x2? I can see a reflection of liberty below the original.

Looks to be in a holder of some sort - are those stringy-looking things in the left obverse field foreign matter?

Your coin is loaded with ticks and small scratches . I thinks that's what your seeing . Nothing seems like errors .

It may even be a reprocessed coin which would also drop the value of the coin.
