I have several questions about it: 1. It looks like it will rade out low end EF. What do you all think? 2. On the third pic, what is the distortion on the triangle? Lamination possibly? Any ideas? 3. It is really gunky, looks loike somebody slimed it with something. Can I use acetone to try to clean it up? Any other suggestions?
Looks like circulation damage to me from what I can see, that's all. Too bad you didn't find this when it was born. The 53S is usually found without any step detail and I see this one has a couple or few. Sometimes that is about as good as you'll find. Wish it was UNC and undamaged. Yes, be careful with acetone. It can be very dangerous, harmful breathing and highly flammable. The coin is not all that valuable. Using acetone may make it better. Read around about acetone on the forum, lots of posts.
