Traveling across Canada on a train is on my to do list ... care to elaborate on what your train week will look like and which train you will go with?

Just the standard ViaRail Canadian, Vancouver to Toronto. Scheduled to take 4 days, but it's routinely late; the travel guides say "plan for it taking up to 5 days".

Unfortunately, the eastbound trains are scheduled to hit the two major cities on the route (Edmonton and Winnipeg) in the evenings, so there's little chance of sightseeing there. Wouldn't have minded taking a tour of the Winnipeg mint, but I'll have to make do with Ottawa.

The National Postage Stamp & Coin Show April 15 & 16 is just outside of Toronto. It is one of the larger shows in Canada.

Unfortunately, I'll still be in Vancouver then.
