Rdbhill New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 10/23/2023 2:32 pm A friend of mine has acquired these beautiful coins from his late grandfather, there are actually about 50 coins in total and different sizes, different metals and just about every coin has a different/unique emblem, this is just 4 of them, I can upload more images if requested in the quest to find any factual information on these coins! The coins you have posted so far look to me like modern imitations of Spanish colonial pieces, often sold as 'Pirate Treasure' souvenirs at tourist attractions. Sap Moderator Australia 16899 Posts	Posted 10/23/2023 9:17 pm Hello and Welcome. Yes, sorry, but the four coins posted above are all modern mass-produced "pirate treasure" replica coins. They bear designs that are crude reproductions of Spanish and Spanish-Colonial silver and gold coins. Specifically, I believe these are all copies of Philip II silver 8 reales coins from the Potosi mint (Spanish Peru), dating from the late 1500s.
