DoubleEagle20 Pillar of the Community United States 1748 Posts	Posted 09/03/2023 7:28 pm I ended buying non-quarter dollar silver proofs in 2019 with the switchover to .999 silver. To me, the 2018-S reverse proofs have a double meaning. The 50th anniversary of proofs at the SF mint AND the end of coin silver. The silver proof quarters I ended in 2021 with the end of ATB just to finish the series. To me, 2019 to date are bullion coins, which are boring and overpriced. I love the history and tradition of 90 pct coin silver. It dates back to 1837 or so, but it's now history. I like to open the package and see how beautifully executed the proofs are and then package them back up again, throw them in a box in the deep, dark recesses of a closet and never see them again for maybe 20 years.
