So I ordered my first box... my very first box... of coins from my bank. Not some podunk bank...Chase. This is not the box after I tore It open like a madman. This is how it was presented to me. Note the duct tape holding it together to the left. In fact, it fell apart as I was putting it in the car and several rolls broke open. Imagine my delight picking up spilled rolls and loose Kennedys. Wow. What a kickoff to box hunting. Ever happen to any of you?

No, but with halves, I usually just get loose rolls, not a full box.

So was there any silver in the broken rolls?

Not yet. I'm about 20% through them. Just some album/folder fillers and 1 NIFC.

You get what you pay for. Try a podunk bank the next time.

You might need to adjust your thinking on what constitutes a podunk bank. My experiences with smaller banks and credit unions has been uniformly superior to my interactions with the behemoths.

That is certainly true, especially for normal consumer activities, at least in my experience.

Oh, I totally agree. My other bank is podunk and I've favored podunks for decades. Chase just gave me a sweet piece of change for direct depositing my pension check. About 40% through the hunt. No silver, more folder fillers, now 4 NIFCs.

Welp... onto another denomination. Sum totals:
Silver 0
NIFC 6
Proofs 0
Circulated 2021-23 0

Next time I decide on half $ (it'll be awhile), I'll go to my regional bank.
