So I found these recently in coin roll hunting.

Are these the satin finish 2007 nickels? They were both found in the same roll and look a bit different, especially compared to the other 2007's that I found.

Also, what's going on with this 1966? Is this from a mint set? It's very mirror-like.

Need a pic of the reverse on the 1966. Might be a SMS coin.

Those 2007 appear to be satin finish from the photos.

As said, the 1966 could be SMS.

Perhaps someone broke up inherited (or pilfered) sets and cashed them.

That 1966 does look SMS. Check the steps on Monticello and the reverse lettering.

The satin finish nickels aren't really particularly valuable, correct? Just more of a neat find?

Both satin finish nickel mintages were substantially lower at less than 900,000 https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin...inish/149713 vs the business strikes, Denver produced 626,160,000 https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin...-d-5c/149711

A small premium, maybe. Worth keeping, but not worth selling (time, effort).

Some neat finds - would have liked to see the reverse on the 66 to see the steps.

Looks pretty well struck - steps are worn from circulation unfortunately. Could very well be a SMS nickel.

Ironically enough, I think there was several of these in this box. There was also tons of 1960, 61, 62 and 63 that were nearly BU. I am wondering if somebody dumped coins that they had.
