Anyone seeing or know anything about 2026D Mayflower quarter potential errors? Just got stuck with a box of them and have found quite a few that look to be coated with the black Ruthenium. Search said they were only offered by private third parties but the box appears to be straight from the mint. Any ideas? I found about ten of them in the first 10-12 rolls.

to the CCF, Greencc4.
I have the feeling that the "black Ruthenium" on your coins would be removed by acetone.
Is there any way you could post pictures of one?

Sounds like annealing errors could be a possibility, however without photos that's all it is a possibility for now.

I haven't seen much other than die chips/cracks so far, we'd love to see pictures of what you found!
