ANA World's Fair of Money 2026 Pre-Sale
It is with great pleasure that we present our 400-coin ANA 2026 Pre-Sale!

Hello!

It is with great pleasure that we release our 400-coin ANA 2026 Pre-Sale!

Some of the most fun coins we've ever handled are in this collection. We were lucky enough to buy not one but TWO collections of raw coins for this sale - one a group of delightful circulated Capped Bust halves and the other a life-changing group of high grade Indian and Lincoln cents (among other coins) from a legendary collector named John Gideon Laidacker.

John Laidacker lived from 1867-1927 and, among other things, was a station agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad. His work afforded him a nearly unique opportunity to pluck superb coins out of circulation and from fresh bank rolls (and proximity to the Philadelphia Mint probably didn't hurt either).

While it was thought that most of his collection was sold at auction in the 1950s, we were recently fortunate enough to acquire a large number of remaining coins from the estate.

With that, you can now view the coins.

John-Gideon-Laidacker-1867-1927-Collection!

1898 Indian cent (1c) Laidacker Collection
PCGS MS66+ RD CAC
An 1898 with all the wattage you could ever hope for - blazing copper color that blankets both sides without a hint of mellowing. The strike is hammered, with every feather tip, diamond, and wreath detail crisply rendered, and the fields carry a smooth, satiny glow that pushes the eye appeal well beyond the typical 66. A well-deserved green bean confirms the quality, and the coin resides in a PCGS Gold Shield holder. Premium Gem quality with the fresh, undisturbed look of a coin set aside the year it was struck. From the Laidacker collection.

John-Gideon-Laidacker-1867-1927-Collection!

1900 Indian cent (1c) Laidacker Collection
PCGS MS67 RD CAC
An incredible 100% red Indian from the turn of the century, with rich copper-orange color that looks as fresh as the day it left Philadelphia. The strike is razor sharp - crisp feather tips, bold diamonds, and a fully defined shield and wreath on the reverse. Surfaces are remarkably smooth and spot-free, with satiny luster spinning over pristine fields. A green CAC sticker confirms the quality of this example, housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder. Truly outstanding eye appeal at the MS67RD level, from the Laidacker collection.

That's one old coin collection. I can't believe some of it's stayed intact, after all these years?

John-Gideon-Laidacker-1867-1927-Collection!

1902 Indian cent (1c) Laidacker Collection
PCGS MS66+ RD CAC
Blazing full mint red with a rich golden-orange glow, this 1902 is as fresh as the day it left Philadelphia. The strike is sharp with a well detailed headdress, and the reverse wreath shows complete definition. Surfaces are exceptionally smooth, spot-free, and vibrant, with cartwheel luster spinning across both sides and only trivial ticks. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a well-deserved green bean, this specimen delivers outstanding eye appeal for an Indian cent. From the Laidacker collection.

John-Gideon-Laidacker-1867-1927-Collection!

1877 Indian cent (1c) Laidacker Collection
PCGS MS64 RB CAC
A truly special 1877 from the incredible Laidacker collection - the undisputed key to the Indian cent series - showing a reverse that blazes with tons of fiery mint red, while the obverse has mellowed to a pleasing blend of orange-copper and warm brown. The strike is bold with nice feathering and crisp wreath detail, and the surfaces are as fresh and original as it gets. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a green CAC sticker.
