Greeting all I have an 1879 Morgan silver dollar Philadelphia and on the reverse it looks like a strong spitting eagle or a strikethrough there are similar smaller marks below the o and f. And I'm pretty sure it's not the reverse of the 1878. Because of the round breast and the diagonal arrow. Also behind the eagles head are some small half circle marks I don't know if this is postman or from minting. On the obverse does the eight look doubled I know the one eight and seven is an error if doubled and there appears to be small die chips there too. Can somebody provide me with a site to check on these I've been searching and I just can't seem to find one thanks everyone
I'll be a little less aggressive and just say you need to compare yours to other Morgans and see the differences in the devices. Here is a link to all things Morgan.
