Broke my promise to avoid the auctions
But sometimes they are such ..... fun !
Well I scored fairly well this time
Group lots can be a real "crap shoot"
There are almost always a few duds mixed in with the live rounds
This time was no exception
But I was pleased to count only two (out of 18 !) as being discardable
(in animo volvo) I had already given this one away
But then I took a second look ....

@fvr, sounds like a great pick-up. For those of us less knowledgeable about Roman coins, can you point out a couple design characteristics that helped you determine for sure that this is Hadrian? I'm not seeing any visible inscription, so it must be the shape of the bust? Or is it something else? Or more than one thing put together? Thx for teaching us a little bit.
