Got 4 rolls of coins to go through for my albums and wound up with 4 rolls of mint state emerging liberty dimes!. I found a few that look like this. Is that a die break/chip? Such a beautiful design!

I find it interesting that all the errors seem to show up on Philadelphia product. Has anyone seen any similar issues on Denver dimes? It also has me wondering if there is different equipment or striking pressures in Philly vs Denver.

I've found about a dozen of the Denver dimes and nary a problem with any of them.

I've had the same thought, myself personally I feel it has something to do with Denvers altitude (air pressure). Maybe the thinner air allows the structure (molecules) of the metal to maintain a stronger bond. Just my Two Cents.

Today I read a few responses here https://goccf.com/t/288744 by a member named colonialjohn who seems to be the person to ask when it comes to the dies metal capacity. Maybe he'll pop in and comment.
