I know that some folks really go wild for rainbow toning. I keep running across Mercury dimes where I really feel that if the coin weren't toned in neon shades, it would certainly grade as AU or MS cleaned. Do the TPGs—and PCGS in particular—wave through a lot of heavily toned coins as mint state when they should really grade lower?

Good question, Brandmeister.

Might just be me, but the second Mercury dime looks circulated to me. My only other thought is it was weakly struck.
