1745 Britannia Coin/Medal?

A good picture would help a lot, no doubt, but I already see enough to conclude that it is not a coin.

1745 would be the reign of George II, and the portrait is not what it's supposed to be (starting with facing in the wrong direction). The legend, even though I cannot read it, looks totally off. The Britannia on the reverse looks off as well (is she standing?).

Finally the weight. KG2 halfpennies were about 10 g. (+ or - 0.3 g.), farthings 4.5 - 5.3 grams. This piece is in between.

"WRL" is the mark of Westair Reproductions Limited, a British manufacturer of replica coins and medals for sale to tourists. This particular piece is a replica of a medal, issued in the name of Prince Charles the Young Pretender (CAROLUS WALLIAE PRINCEPS), Stuart claimant to the British throne, designed in anticipation of a triumphant return to Britain which never eventuated; a few were struck some years later and sold to sympathizers in Britain and Europe. Genuine medals of this type typically sell for a couple hundred pounds. This example sold for US$150, well under the $300 estimate.

The WRL replicas, unfortunately, only sell for a few dollars.
