Came across this in Dad's things when he died.

From what I can tell doing a Google search, this 'Britain's First Decimal Coins" is pretty common and does not have much value. Is this like the equivalent to a British Mint set/product and a US Mint set/product?

Am I correct?

Thanks, Jim

Yes, I like better pre-decimal coinage. I have the 1970 set, before they switched to pounds, way more valuable.

they may not be worth too much money wise, but they were your fathers and he cared for them and now you have the great pleasure to have these coins.
Worth more than money I say!

Very true gecko although why do the Britain sets have heads and tails showing? With the Aussie sets they are all facing one way.

I have a set also. Not worth much, but a nice piece of history and I won't ever sell them myself.

No, you're absolutely correct on that britcoin, , I don't think anyone here would dispute that.
