It is our great honour to present the Official Queen's Diamond Jubilee UK £5 coin design, fully approved by Her Majesty The Queen and the Treasury. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 will be a remarkable moment in our history, she being one of only two British monarchs -- to have reigned for 60 years - the other being Queen Victoria. This beautiful new £5 coin, struck to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, pays tribute to a Queen who has reigned with grace and dignity for 60 years. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year - only the second such Jubilee in Britain's long history - will be a truly historic milestone in the life of the nation. To celebrate this grand royal occasion, The Royal Mint has struck a beautiful new £5 coin with two new portraits of Her Majesty spanning her long reign. It is the first coin ever struck to commemorate a Diamond Jubilee - there were no special coins for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1887 - and is certainly worthy of the occasion. A must for every collector, the coin, expertly struck and in mint condition, is presented in a specially designed display folder -- ideal, too, for street parties and a fabulous souvenir of this special time in our lives. http://www.royalmint.com/store/Brit...K12DJBU.aspx

It's okay, just not for £12.99 it isn't!

H.M. The Q. was certainly a pretty Lady in her younger days. However, that bust by Mary Gillick is not one of my favourites. And I think She looks a little to stern on the modern design.
I still clearly remember when she visited Sydney way back in 1954! Sailed into Sydney Harbour on the ship 'Gothic'.

Remember to add the £2.95 shipping charge if you in the UK. So it is £15.94 if you just order it by itself.
So yet another £5 coin that I will not be getting.
I really miss being able to get the £5 coins for £5.

It is a beautiful coin struck to a very high standard to commemorate an exceptional occassion. I would say well worth £12.99 plus P & P. For a keen coin collector, it is a must!

How many exceptional occasions do we have?
I mean, marriage of the future king, wow, 90th birthday of a racist, I mean husband of the queen, 60th birthday of the potentially next king, Diamond Wedding anniversary of the royal couple, the queen's 80th, 50th anniversary of the coronation, queen mother who died, golden jubilee, 100th birthday of the former queen, and this is in the last 11 years.
