There are more than a few threads on safe storage of PM's.

The best defense is not letting anyone know that you have PM's. Once you do you are now a possible target at which point your best defense is keeping all PM's off and out of your premises.

A safe will probably stop the wife, kids and relatives form taking your PM's. It would do nothing to prevent a good thief from taking them. A better one would just hold a gun to your head until you gave them the combination.

So if you did your job well no one knows you have silver, gold or what ever. Then it is a simple project to do your best to hide them. Personally I like a good floor safe that except for the best thief's are hard to find. The normal house break in results in high value things being stolen such as guns, electronics, jewelry etc.

The key if they don't know you have the PM's then they probably will not spend much time in your house looking for them. A big large safe makes a statement - I have something worth value in here.

If you are a talker then I would say a Bank Safety Security Box may be your best bet.

Thanks for the info regarding storing you PM's. My spouse likes the idea of a floor safe. Do you have any good recommendatios on where to buy a decent floor safe? Do you go over the internet. We would just need it for coins we are collecting and some jewelry. Thanks.

Big horn indeed, as I figure it would take a real plan of attack by some real smart crooks to get into that, short of a gun to the head for the combination is always a real threat....

NUMBER ONE KEY THING to do with a safe that size, hide it well (And most of all tell no one it exists, other than a few of the most trusted keeping in mind today's friends can easily be tomorrows enemy), then load it up....

If you are real paranoid, put out some fake gold bars in easy to find decoy safe....

I have no recommendations on the manufacture. However there are plenty of them out in the market. You can do a Google search for them.

Here is an example of what I am talking about.
