According to The London Trader China made a large gold purchase on October 21. Also according to the same source they have massive buy orders in at $1585 to $1605. They attribute this to a major acceleration in the dumping of US Dollars. Gold closed at $1627 in Sunday Israeli Trading, closing well below Friday's New York close. I always say, don't worry about what they SAY,pay attention to what they DO! I have held off buying gold but it looks like it might be time to buy again.

My guesses were not to far off, the lows got further then I expected, but who have the crystal ball.
I been buying in smaller increments for the past month when it dropped, but others believe that there maybe another big drop before moving back up, if there is another big drop I am seriously doubting now.

I went to the London Trader website. This "news" looks more like an advertisement, not that I'm taking anything away from your source. Gold closed on the Comex at 1635. It seems strange the Chinese could purchase gold at some other price, such as the $1585 mentioned in the link. If they did buy a very large amount, we're talking tonnage, that would trigger a spike in the price of gold when the Comex opens on Monday morning... if this is true and not a rumor or an ad intended to start a rumor. Here is the source of that "news" in London Trader website: http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldn...d_Today.html

I got the info on another website and looked it up as you did. If China is buying a lot of gold, then I consider it useful information. News that Asia was buying a lot played a big part in the last run to $1900 in my opinion. I'm not writing the news. Just trying to be helpful to anyone trading at these levels. Thank you for the link. Also, it will be interesting to see if this purchase is reported by US Financial News channels tomorrow. A good indicator of the validity of this report would be to see a bottom in gold around $1600 followed by a quick recovery.

Anytime these Asian rumors of large gold buys pans out, it eventually means a spike in prices, like Junior pointed out when it breached 1950 seems like not too far back.....
Gold is moved up some after some real spastic movement in the first couple of hours here Sunday night, but silver is now up about 30 cents, threatening to push across 32 again, and gold is back across 1643. It will be real interesting to see where the market sets by late tom afternoon....

All of the reports from Europe today regarding the"BIG PLAN" is that nothing was really done(of course, that is not really a surprise)so it will be interesting to see how the markets react in the morning. There is more and more hinting that the US is going to have to step up in a big way to help with bailouts. If that happens,I think PMs will explode.

How in the heck do they expect us to bail them out? We are history as far as being in a position to save anyone. If they give anyone FRN's they are just printing them and robbing from our savings some more. News of that should ignite PM's. I'm surprised that Europe hasn't sued the pants off of The United States brokers that sold all of those US Credit Default Swaps to European financial institutions. It will probbly come around to that eventually. If they cause Goldman Sachs or someone like that to fail then look out below.

Quote: We are history as far as being in a position to save anyone. , Junior. In point of fact, we will be doing rather well if we can save ourselves from our own stupidity. It's still up in the air as to whether or not we can. I believe that it is possible but have not seen a single positive sign that we WILL. I'm basically an optimistic person, so it takes quite a bit to discourage me. Still, the politicians seem intent on doing so. :-/ As to China buying gold... of course they are. Unlike Uncle Ben, the Chinese KNOW that gold and silver are money. They absolutely want to diversify their holdings out of US dollars and US debt instruments. They are vastly overloaded with both of these and are seeking ways to get out of it while they can still recover some value. It would be very interesting to see a list of the things that China has purchased with US dollars in the last year or so. I am sure that it would be most illuminating.

Chinese businessmen are into stockpiling metals, then used for collateral on business loans.

Let me think this one out. We borrow from China to help finance our debt. Then we turn around and send them a check for foreign aid. However we still have to make payments on the loan.
So are my tax dollars helping China to buy more gold?
I have to give China credit they are a heck of a lot smarter than we are to figure this one out.

I still haven't figured out why we EVER send any grain or humanitarian aid to North Korea. China has them in their back pocket and has more money than God, literally. Our politicians have no grasp of reality at all. South and North Korea will eventually reunite even without our bribes as North Korea discovers capitalism as China did. Let China spend a few of its FRN's taking care of its own territories. Our bribes obviously didn't prevent North Korea from developing Nuclear weapons either. The way we send aid all over the world is insane and has to stop. Except Israel, of course. Somebody has to take out Iran before nukes are deployed on the US mainland. If that happens the Middle East will be turned to glass and 9-11 will be made to look like a picnic.

Junior here thinks Iran is deploying Nuclear Weapons on U.S. mainland soon, nice propaganda. Once you figure out that your leaders are paid off, by special interests, you'll see the true reality of the situation. For a certain amount, anyone can be bought. The U.S. leaders are bummed out because Iraq and Iran are old pals, Iraq basically hates us anyways, and that's that, as does Pakistan, Afghanistan, ahh, the list just goes on, hate, bad guys, more hate, and more bad guys, it will never, ever end, because that is the nature of the beast that resides in the back of peoples minds.

Look up Dr. Bill Wattenburg on YouTube. Do you happen to know of any nations dabbling in weapon's grade plutonium that would love to supply terrorist organizations with a few tactical nuclear devices? I do. I apologize for the excursion off-topic and I am out.
