I just picked up a 2005 mint set off of ebay for $9.00 and took a look at the quarters under magnification and found what appears to be DDR in the word "Gorge". This is in the Denver set. Is this a known error or am I just imagining things? I can't take magnified photos- but the best way to describe it is the shape of a G underneath and slightly north of the G in Gorge. The P mint mark quarter does not exhibit this at all.

The Minnesota quarter has a small die chip underneath the D in Quarter Dollar... but I'm not all that concerned about that at the moment.

ok, I'm positive this coin is a DDR with the text on New River Gorge being doubled. I've looked at it at 10x multiplication with a LCD light and the words are not clear at all. Of course, I don't have a macro-lens to provide a pic- so I need your help.

If I want this variety recognized by PCGS what's the process? Is there a quarter expert on the forums that I can talk to? let me know.

Could just be Machine Doubling (or is it Mechanical Doubling, I can never remember the right term!). Anyways, it's fairly common on State Quarters and not worth a premium.
