It depends on the price. It's a very nice coin fairly well centered and a nice strong strike. If this coin came my way I would have no problem paying $30-$35 US.

Its a nice coin, but I would not pay that much for this coin. But that's me. I have found Licinius coins to be quite common. Like echizento says, the coin has some very nice features. One thing I seem to be seeing much more of lately are very nice pictures of coins. The photography is great, making the coin look much better then average. However, when the coin arrives it's appearance is quite average. IMHO I would not pay more then $20 for this coin.

I just saw this coin on ebay from a seller I have bought from in the past with excellent result. Take a look: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LICINIUS-RO...t_626wt_1396I have nothing to do with the sale of this coin. I just wanted to point out a similar coin for sale and the price being asked. JW

It's a nice coin, surprised there isn't any bids.

I like that coin, but I also agree they used shadows to maximum effect.

The last few I bought from this particular seller were very cheap (around $20) and ended up being nice coins. Here is an example:

Two Augustus coins I bought a while ago looked really good in the pictures. When I got them, even though they still looked very nice, they were a lot darker than in the original pictures. But also, you have to remember that some coins actually look better than in the seller's pics. Like my Victorinus for example (with coins like these I like to think that the camera wasn't able to fully capture their nice appearance).

The upper third of the coin looks like the patina was removed and a darkener used to try to hide it.
Out of curiosity, how did you find the second set of images? This is exactly what I was speaking of when I said the photography is excellent, but the coins are not near as nice as the image presented. Although I'd say the second image is still not a bad looking coin. Just not worth the amount you originally said you would spend.
