i agree with you paleoguy there is really no distracting marks to note and its good to see you have more huevo's then I. I think I will start to grade more conservative. I've been messing up alot in the grading dept here and starting to realize how hard it is to grade from the pictures posted. Many of the AU to high grade coins really depend on looking at the coins in hand.

You guys are making me think I should crack and resubmit :) To be honest, I didnt see wear on it either when I received it. The only signs of circulation appear to possibly be the luster breaks in the fields.. But for a bust Half Dime, seems like they wouldn't have been quite so strict.. I was surprised to pick this up for

It is certainly a beautiful coin regardless of what the slab says. My only thought is that the marks in front of Liberty's face were viewed quite strictly and thus kept it from MS, which I do believe is harsh. Does anyone have a feel for the strictness of PCGS vs. NGC on this series?
