Howdy Y'all!

3rd post here. Thanks again for having me.

I recently bought a 1963 Proof Franklin half. It is definitely a beautiful coin.

After I bought it, however, I noticed some tarnish along the edge and at the top of reverse. It was shipped in a heat sealed bag, and otherwise looks unblemished. Is this possibly from a pinhole in the plastic, and smoke got in? If that is the case, how much does it effect the overall value of this otherwise lustrous gem?

Thanks for the help.

John

The old mint pacs are not that air tight. Silver wil tarnish in what ever atmosphere it's packaged.

I think it might affect the sell by about a buck or less based on its overall look.

I would guess $15 but I am probably not the best to ask.
