What drew me to the work being done by the Gallery Mint Museum, beyond the attractiveness of the overall designs themselves, was the close up view under magnification, where I could see the actual workmanship of the engravings, the very tool marks themselves. These were made with good old fashioned handiwork. I have lots of respect for those who work to keep alive traditional crafts and techniques.
