I bought a 1929-S Liberty Walker. It was in very fine to extra fine condition. I paid 60 bucks for it. That is the most I ever paid for a Walker, but I know there are much more expensive ones. The condition factor is the biggest hurdle. You can get them in good condition when they are before 1930, but to get something in AU condition or even extra fine is hard unless you really want to pay. They are like Liberty Standing quarters. I see some nice ones, but 1000% more that are just rubbed and worn to death. I like the early to mid 20th century silver coins. They remind me of growing up and seeing them "in the wild".

Is bought a 1937-S and 1938 Liberty half both in AU condition for $24 dollars. I think I got a deal even if they are not rare. When I finish up 1930's I will be ready to start collecting the more rare coins. I am wondering if I should got for uncirculated or just stay in EF range? The rest of my collection is basically in fine at the bottom to AU/Uncirculated with more in EF condition.
