I bought a 1878-S for $65 in BU condition and have 3 other dates in same condition for which I paid about $60 a piece on average. I never paid over $100 for any of these coins. I think these coins do fluctuate with price of silver, but not that much like Silver Eagles. If silver and gold prices continue to fall I think we will have bargains galore on many coins of more common mintage. I can go to LCS and get the same silver coins for significantly less than RedBook values and these prices are falling each month. Aliens who come to earth will be buying Morgans just because of VAM's. Report this Post to the Staff
