Thanks. I could be mistaken, but I don't think ANACS was using the PL/DMPL ratings back then. This one looks PL if not outright Cameo DMPL. I know the seller didn't juice the pics because he was selling about 10 of these tonight, and none looked as good as this one.

Won a lot on ebay for 11 silver proof State Quarter sets 1999-2009 for $240. Seems most people didn't see that there are 2 sets of 1999 and missing the 2002. I figure the 1999 sets at $50 each leaves it to be $15.50 for the other silver quarter sets. Not a bad deal at all! Also my silver proof State Quarter album is completed! Will make another separate thread once I actually get the coins in the album. :D

Very nice coins, everyone.

Being primarily an early type collector, I particularly like Tbones's 1805 Quarter and 1859 O Seated dollar.
Beautiful coins, both.

I got an 1904-S in maybe Good grade for $17 at my LCS.

I'm kinda posting this to get advice too. Was it a OK deal?
He had other Peace dollars at Extremely Fine to AU at $21 that I didn't get. Are they good deals or is there better prices elsewhere? Thanks!

Just threw caution to the wind and overpaid for a really nice coin on ebay on Sun. nite

This is just a fun thing to do from time to time, isn't it? I've done it on a few occasions, and I haven't regretted it yet. When I want something bad enough I'll over pay too. You not only bought a great coin but also a little bit of grading history.

A good deal all day long at $17.

This one is for you, jbuck.

(Pictures incoming eventually)

I just bought a 1973 S BU 40% Silver Ike DDO from Bill Fivaz. It may make its way to GTP...

Should probably be put in the other thread though (since this one is for US Classic Coins)...

Thanks.

I can't wait to see it. The seller takes lousy pictures, and did everything possible to hide the fact it's a serious PL Morgan
Rest in Peace

I certainly hope it's a win Ed. It looks like easily a PL and hoping for a DMPL.

@Ralph - I like the look of that 79-CC too. I'm sure it fits in just fine with your latest set.

Darth, I'm toying with the idea of cracking this one out, and putting it in my first set because of the detail still on it.....haven't decided yet, but the detail is much better on this one than the VF one I have in that set. Hopefully it will age well in the album.
Also, I've a nice VF '79CC in the set I'm working on now so I don't really need it there. Trying to get that first set, at least, extra fine or better.....still got about a half dozen or so that won't grade above very fine.....someday.....

Great grab for $17, I'd take a decent Morgan for under $20 any day.

Not a coin, but I've been upgrading my numismatic library lately. (The Grellman arrived today, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out it's a signed copy.)

Oh, and lest I forget, I must appease the great jbuck with an Ike that I Liked for $13 - 1973-S Silver Uncirculated. It can now join my 1973-S Proof Set and 1973 Brown Box Ike at home.
