This is my first purchase.. besides a sorted pack of Wheat Pennies for $5 I bought at the same time.. but what I'm talking about is a Lincoln Head Design Set :3 It has a certification, and it includes... All 4 2009 coins, a Wheat penny, a 1943 penny, a Lincoln Memorial penny, and a shield penny. All the designs. All that for $5, which was decent. That is my first purchase, obviously besides the sorted pack of wheat pennies I got from a local coin collecting shop.

Maybe not 50 cents, but at least under a dollar.

I got a 1916-S and 1917-S (obverse mint) Walkers in VG condition today. I had one 1916-S in AG condition, but I want a nice full date on my coins. I got 1927-S, 1928-S and 1927 Peace dollars in AU condition. I am just improving my current complete sets while I wait to find three SLQ's. I got a 1891-CC Morgan in VF condition. I got these all at the same shop I do business with on regular basis. I somehow end up with duplicates of coins and I trade these and also get cash discount. My brother took a bold step and finished his collection of Ike dollars. I am encouraging him to start collecting again, but he is so cheap. He needs a hobby.

The 1917-S is an Obv. Sometimes the D's and S's on the coins with mint mark on Walker's obv. almost look the same. They are just a blob on the worn ones, but I made sure it was an S this time. I got screwed on ebay on that one because it was sold as an S and it was a D. So I had two 1917-D coins. I went back and looked yesterday after discussion about Walkers and there it was right in my face. I took both 1917's to the dealer and he figured it out as to which was which. He knows his stuff and helped my brother with his Ike dollar collection because for some of those coins there are three varieties and some are actually worth more than a few bucks in MS65 if you can get them. The 1972, Copper-Nickel clad, Variety 2 in MS-65 is worth $1300 and the variety 1 in MS-65 is worth $140. Four of the Ikes in different varieties are worth more than $100 in MS-65 if you can actually find them in that condition.

Went to the coin show this weekend and made a few purchases...
