   The slab is a first generation ANACS slab, notice no bar code. These are rare. I outbid other potential bidders on ebay at a high cost, but it was worth it to own one of these.

Nice ANA Slab, Mac! I have one of those with a Mercury as well. They do command quite a premium. The " ANA" slabs were only used for a short period of time, and were the first ANA/ANACS slabs to gain traction following the Photo Certificate era. (I think it was less than a year, maybe two.) After that, the company was spun off as ANACS, which changed the logo and the label but kept the small white holders.

This is a recent ebay purchase from ccf member;a 1924 Standing Liberty quarter. This is a perfect example of an AU-58 that has more luster than many ms-63's.
