Just picked up a set of these on ebay for myself and one for my nephew for Christmas. Thought it would make quite a unique gift for him. Thought the price was fair but was wondering if anyone else has bought any before or seen one in person before?

2009 Two 2 UNCUT Subject Sheet ONE 1$ Dollar U.S. Bills

Also, why are these uncut? Misprints or straight from the mint like this?

Thanks

The answer to the "why are they uncut" question is easy, nobody has taken scissors to them yet. The BEP does sell uncut sheets of 32, 16, 8, and 4 notes. Someone probably bought a few 32 note sheets for a bit more than face value and is cutting them into smaller sheets to sell at a profit.

Here is a link to the BEP store where they sell larger denominations too.

Edit* - Forgot to add yes I have a few of them as well. Here is a sheet of 4 two dollar notes.

The Mint does not print currency, that responsibility falls to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The BEP does sell uncut currency but they do not sell only two notes, the smallest partial sheet is 4 notes. The 99XXXXXX serial number denotes an uncut sheet as those high serial numbers are reserved for that purpose. Unfortunately, the seller cut up either a full or partial sheet to get two notes
