robbudo Pillar of the Community United States 2757 Posts	Posted 11/10/2011 9:57 pm I just searched my 50,000th nickel, and I found 3 proof nickels. just saw that ancientcoinguy found 3 proof nickels in $2,200. Bm0ney Pillar of the Community Canada 1005 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 8:51 pm I asked a teller at a different branch of my bank for any 50 cent coins that she had today. She had two. A 2002p (no big deal) and a 1992 proof. (Canadian) The proof looked perfect. Frosted relief. Report this Post to the Staff

CaptainFwiffo Pillar of the Community United States 4132 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 9:09 pm It's a 1938. The font used in '38 and '39 had a 3 that looked remarkably like a 5. I've found more than one 1938 in my pile of 1958 nickels. Report this Post to the Staff
