I was looking at this half dollar and was wondering, what is that white line above the shoulderclasp thats hanging on the hairlines? Could that be some kind of damage ?

And if its genuine?

The coin looks genuine to me and the white thing looks like some fiber. Try a good blast of air and see if it go's away. If not it is adhered to the coin and will probably leave some kind of remaining mark when you do remove it. Nice VF coin.

White line looks like a pieces of lint or fiber just sitting on the coin. Coin appears genuine.

I don't see any red flags. Looks like just a fiber.

Looks genuine. I agree with the piece of lint analysis.
