I am sure I have asked this before, but I forget where it is at. I am looking for a camera, or scanner or something that I can hook up to my computer to take quality pictures of my coins to sell a few, either here to the CCF members or on ebay.(Plus I have some other antique stuff I might try to unload)

I am very computer illiterate, so if you could give me as much detail as you could I would appreciate it. PM if you want. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars, but I want something good too.

I have a Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS that I pick up at Costco, great results and doesn't require knowing too much about photography knowledge.

I'd spend the time and read to understand all the features available, most user like myself don't have elaborate setup, and one of the thing I like most is the motion detect awareness, so it will keep steady when I take a picture.

Connecting to a computer or laptop is just a USB cable and using the software that came with it.

I have a Cannon Power Shot A1100IS. It was about $100 at a local camera shop.

I have been very happy with it. I took a picture of a silver quarter I got about a week or 2 ago. Take a look in the quarter roll search thread and you can see for yourself.

Oops, I missed spelled "shot".. nice!
