What bank is carrying these. I went to the CIBC today to get my new $100 bills and asked about the new loonies and twoonies. They don't get them as a regular routine but I know the mint releases them to a certain bank or sometimes Canada Post can any one help? I am in Saskatoon! Thanks

It looks like the mint is out of the parks loonies but they still have toonies available.
They come in 5 packs at face value with free shipping...

They're released into the Royal Bank of Canada or RBC, in other words. The Parks Canada one is sold out due to its very low mintage, but the Boreal Forest one is still on sale, while quantities last at RBC. You best not buy them from the mint because the keep on pushing the shipping time of those products sold at their face value BACK. I ordered a pack of the centennial coins in mid October. They first said that they were gong to shipping out on Oct. 24, then Nov. 16, and now it's Dec 15. I already got the rolls from the bank. However, at RBC, they might talk you into having their accounts. Don't really listen to them. Buy all the rolls you need until the next one comes, because you don't want to hear them say that you must have an account to get a second roll of same coins.

You say the parks Canada coin is sold out due to its very low mintage, does that imply it is going to be a rare coin. I am curious to know your source for this information, if it is in fact going to be a hard to get coin then maybe I should have got one. What say you..

I looked online, I couldn't find the mintages of the 2011 Parks Loonie & Twonnie. I too am interested in their mintages...maybe our RCM rep on here has some insight?

I got a roll of the loonies from my bank yesterday, and they said that they were sent very few rolls- letting me have 1 was a big deal, fro whichh I am thankful. Almost all of them (23) show weakness and possible damage to the beading around the Obverse rim.

RCMBout is right. We're producing 5 million Parks Canada Loonies this year. As for the Boreal Forest Toonies, it's the same - 5 million. Hope that helps EY_Pep!

How did you find this out? I was starting to think someone just swiped mine in the mail or something.

(Timotay01) I'm not sure! What I said was what happened to my order. Perhaps you have placed another order on something else? I don't know. I really hope that I'll get the order soon. I believe that I have no problem with my Internet of my computer, but I just can't log into my RCM account!

Always new loonies and toonies and far too many quarters coming out but never any new or different pennies - not everyone wants 20 quarters a year lol

The luster on the loonie is much improved from last year. I hope it doesn't dull like the recent ones (2005ish and on). Any word on when those new quarters are out? I wanna get my hands on those colored ones.
