Also, what would you think is a fair price for this coin, if you don't mind. Edited by cc99999 11/19/2011 9:02 pm

It looks around MS66 to me. There are a lot of 1957 nicely toned quarters around, so I'm not sure how much of a premium you could expect. Are those die polish marks to the left of the bust on the obverse?
If the grade is MS66, I would put a fair price somewhere around $50-$60, possibly a bit more.

I'm going with ms 65, and around 20 bucks auction style? I have one from ANACS that looks like that, that's what it is, so...that's my guess.

I will go with MS-66 though I would not be surprised if they gave it a MS-67.

those that guessed 66 are right. The hit on the top of George's cheek keep it from going higher. In person the toning on this coin is sensational, especially on the reverse.
Cost was $46

It's a very nice example of a toned 1950s quarter! Very nice price also.

I can't see it. 65 on the obverse maybe, but that reverse is not doing it for me. Maybe it is the photo . . . . . But no breast feathers, weak wing feathers, "UNITED" is weak . . . . Those wing feathers should "pop" on a 66. I would give that reverse a 60/61. Somebody please tell me what I am seeing. Or not seeing. Jon

the wing feathers are there, the toning obscures them. having the coin in hand, I can tell you that the bright light really helps with the eye appeal, the reverse's color is inky in places. the nick on the cheek is the only problem I can see at 5X magnification on the obverse. All in all this is a MS-66... could have been a 67 without the nick and perhaps a slightly stronger strike. I'll take some photos of a beautiful toned 1983-P in MS-66 once it gets back from PCGS.
